UI, Mobility and Improved Security: What’s New in the Next Version of Access Analyzer
This month a new version of Access Analyzer will be released…and it’s a big one that represents a major step forward in helping our users automate access controls. The new release focuses on greatly improving security, user experience, and advanced Rulebook functionality for complex Enterprises.
Here is a summary of the 5 major updates:
1. Microsoft Azure Active Directory Integration for improved Security
Security is always our primary concern and with this new release we have taken great strides in improving our application security by managing user login information with Microsoft Azure Active Directory (Azure AD). Azure AD is Microsoft’s cloud-based directory and identity management service and is fast becoming the industry standard. This integration beefs up the existing security and allows us to offer SSO integration.
2. Improved User Interface
We have given Access Analyzer a complete facelift. Starting with the login screen, you’ll notice the user interface (UI) has a modern and cleaner design. Access Analyzer has been converted to HTML5, a markup language that allows users to log in right from any browser without the need to install any third-party plugins. This makes it faster and easier for you to jump right in and get working from any modern browser on any device.
We have also added a feedback button to the application, to allow you to speak directly to us so we can take your feedback make this application as powerful as possible to solve your Access Control challenges.
A new mobile experience is now possible with the improvements to our user interface. With the new HTML5 version of Access Analyzer, you can now log in and use the application on mobile devices, like your phone or tablet. This makes tasks like approving Emergency Access Requests or Compliant Provisioning Requests accessible on the go.
4. Rulebook Management Improvements
Managing rulebooks in Access Analyzer is much faster and more user-friendly with the new update. The improved UI makes it easier to identify, select, edit, import and export rules and rulebooks.
We’ve added the ability to import custom rulebooks, including those exported from Access Analyzer and SAP GRC.
Finally, a new screen has been added to edit your business function parameters. You can reference parameters in this screen as well. This allows organizations to get more detailed than previously with their ruleset.
5. Schedule Analysis Improvements
The schedule analysis screen has been redesigned from the ground up to provide a faster and more user-friendly experience.
We have a lot more features and functionality in the works for Access Analyzer. Let us know what you think of this update and stay tuned for more in 2016.
